So the biggest thing right now is this Pop/electronic/futuristic sound. Basically the "next level" is some stuff you've never heard, add the synth, and craziness (No Ron Artest) then call it unique.
Which is GREAT when done right, but that is why it is so refreshing to hear something truly genuine and organic.
Enter Jesse Idol.
This guy is an ex-U.S. Navy officer (Insert An Officer and a Gentleman movie scene here) and he is (arguably) bringing back REAL R&B!!! Don't believe me? Check out his single "Movie Night" below.
Warning: You will be spending the rest of the day trying to get "Cause I'm watching her, she's watching me, ain't nobody watching the TV" out of your head. And nothing works.
Anyway, there's other great things in his bio like being featured as an artist to watch at Singersroom and being a former member of the Newark Boys Choir, but for me you always gotta come with the music. Real R&B for those who are finding themselves missing something in the music world. *raises hand* And I have to say it is quite nice to hear someone who can actually SING. Really, it's the little things that count.

What do you good people think about Jesse Idol? And what's more, do you think the public is ready for some real R&B? Will synthesizers survive? Do tell.
This guy Jesse Idol is gonna make it big. I like the 2010 Rnb feel to the song, while most rnb singers now are branching off into doing pop he keeps the soul into the music. This really helps fight off the Norealmusicrotationwhatarewelisteningtosameishdifferentdaypandemic. Hope to see more artist like him on here
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize there was so much talent on the underground R&B scene Im really feeling both the tracks on this page keep the musc comming.
